Small Rust Colored Spots On Pickling Cucumbers

We have a lot of small to med sized cucumbers we can pickle but we have found most have small rust colored spots all over the skin. We do not know what it is and are not sure if they are safe for pickling because of this.

It sounds like fungal rust, though I cannot confirm this as your photos did not come through.

They are safe to consume, since plant pathogens are not transferable to humans.

You will want to treat with a fungicide. Here is an article that will help:
