Severe prune of Washington Navel Orange

My Washington Navel Orange has been severely pruned on West side exposing tree trunk to sun. Do I need to protect the bark? If so, how do I do this?

This is not necessary. It will callous and protect itself. You can wipe the area with peroxide if you want to be sure that it is protected from infection. These will usually recover with relative ease.
