Scotch broom

My 8ft, 10 year old scotch broom turned brown this winter. Trunk still has green but it looks dead. Is it dead?

Only time will tell if you still have a live plant.

Avoid pruning the dead material until danger of frost has past.

Then prune out the dead plant material.
