There are no guarantees for getting a plant to re-grow after it’s been cut off from its roots. But, you can try to save it by digging a hole about 1 foot deep and placing the base in the hole, then filling in with dirt, watering it and leaving it to see if it recovers. You may also want to apply an all-purpose plant fungicide to the cut area. Good luck!
