sago palm

Some of my sago palm leaves have turned yellow, which I think is caused from too much watering. Should I cut off the yellow leaves or leave them on? Also, it has grown two more branches around three feet tall each. Is this affecting the rest of the palm? Can this cause the older leaves to become yellow? Help. I love my sago palm.

Is yours in a pot or ground? How long have you had yours? Every fall when leaves start to die we cut ours off and every spring new growth comes back.

I would give it a full season and see how it does. It is hard to say how well they will grow back. Sago palms do not deal well with lost fronds, but they have been known to recover fine. I would wait a whole season to see if fronds grow back.
