I can't find a resource for spider plant bush so I am assuming you have a variety of the household type spider plant. They are known for large, fleshy roots, so your plant probably just needs to be divided. Dig it up and divide it and replant the extras or give them away. Make sure the soil is fertile and well drained. Here is more:
