Roma Tomato

I planted 5 Roma tomatoes 4 weeks ago in containers on my deck in full sun. They are now approaching 6 ft tall with no sign of flowers. They did flower 2 weeks ago, but still no sign of anything. Do I prune? I continue to secure them to stakes…but they keep on growing like crazy! I think they’re mutant.

It is likely an issue with fertilizer, as it sounds like your plants have abundant growth with little flowering or fruit yield. This is oftentimes due to too much nitrogen in the soil, which leads to lots of healthy foliage growth but little else. Try to limit the nitrogen and offset it with some phosphorus, like bone meal, to help promote more blooming and fruit production.
