Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a big old Rhodie that’s losing its bark and has yellow leaves. Should I seal the bare wood with something — wax? I don’t want it to die. THANK YOU.

The yellowing leaves and loss of bark is likely a sign of disease or insects.
Inspect the plant to see if you can identify any culprits.
Neem Oil is a good treatment as this works as both an insecticide and fungicide.
Do not try to cover the bark. This can lead to more disease issues.
