Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comWe have a large Gunnera. Oregon is HOT and DRY this year. Water is short. More important to have showers and clean laundry than the usual large gunnera. Some of the older and outside leaves have wilted at times between watering and have damaged areas. Can I remove those leaves ? Thinking the plant will need less water that way. Worried about the open tube of the stalk for pests etc. Any Tips appreciated. Thank you

You can remove the damaged leaves as soon as you notice them. Gunnera is rarely bothered by pests or disease so the open tubes should not be a problem.
