Removal of olive oil from plant leaves

Whilst we were away, our helper took it upon herself to rub olive oil into the leaves of our rubber plant. Apart from the fact that it collects dust so the leaves cannot breathe, it doesn’t look or feel very nice. How can I remove the oil without damaging the leaves?

About the only thing you can do is use some water with a couple drops of dishsoap in it. Use a soft cloth dipped in the water and gently rub onto each leaf. You can then ‘buff’ it clean with a soft, dry cloth.
