Regrowth of Eucalpytus Tree

I am hoping you can help me. I live in Portland, Or and have a ecualyptus tree that has grown well until this last winter storm. I thought it was dead and was thinking of taking it down when I noticed there are about 8 or 10 new growths coming from the roots. Will this new growth be trainable to be ‘the new tree’?

It is possible, but it could take some time. Whether you do that or not is really a matter of do you want to invest the time into the shoots (possibly years) or money into a new tree.
