Red Malus Cherry Tree – Ends Of New Growth Branches Breaking Off

The tree was pruned hard last fall. Survived wet winter and very hot spring! Although tree looked healthy as new growth appeared, in recent weeks the ends of new branches have started to break off. No infestation apparent but the leaves dry up quickly.
