Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comDue to yesterday’s rain storm in San Diego, nearby eucalyptus trees have dropped the red gum lerps (white dots) all over our wooden deck. Can we wash them down to our plant/dirt area below the deck or can they disturb what we have there? Much easier than vacuuming since there are hundreds of square feet of the white dot lurps.

It is likely that they will not survive off of the tree, though
to be on the safe side you could treat the soil with a antibacterial soap mixture as given in the link below.
