Red-Flowering Dogwood

My red dogwood has plenty of flowers — but they are white. They do have a blush on edges of petals but you have to get really close to see it. What does it need to restore color? I am in Placer County foothills.

Red dogwoods are often grafted onto white dogwood rootstock. It is likely that the red dogwood died off and the white dogwood took over again. You will need to replace the tree to regain the red flowers.
