Red Cordyline Leaves Are Turning Green

Only just bought three red cordyline’s and all three are turning green instead of their original red leaves ?? Would a compost with peat in it make this happen ? That’s what I used 🤔🤔

This will happen because of too much direct sun exposure. They require a small amount of shade in order to retain their color.
