Ratio of male papaya plants to female

I have 6 young trees in a raised garden bed – 2 females and 4 males. They are 6 months old. How many male plants should I remove?

Male papaya plants are unproductive in that they don’t produce fruit but productive in the sense that they pollinate the female papaya plants. I know in large scale operations, papaya farmers try to maintain a 1:25 ratio of male:female. Given that piece of information, you probably only need one male in your group.
