Pulled up glads as they were planted too close. What now? Can I store in fridge until fall?

My lawn guys planted my bulbs WAY too close together last fall. They were so overcrowded they didn’t bloom. So I pulled them all up and was going to cut off the stalks and store them in fridge until fall. I’m in zone 9.
