Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have had the Triloba in my garden for several years. It appears to have been grafted onto a fruiting plum stock. I have removed the plum branches. The flowers are a bit sparse and when they finished this year there are no leaves on the topmost branches. Flowers have finished and left bare branches.
Should I prune these bare branches back or will the leaves eventually reappear?
Many thanks
Tricia Upton

Can you post a photo? This will help me to see what is going on. You can prune this after the flowers fade, but the best time to prune is during dormancy.
