pruning hebe shrubs

Your website allows for pruning hebe plants but does not indicate WHEN such pruning should be done. My variety is Emerald Green. Thank you.

Frost damaged or winter damaged plants can be trimmed in the early spring.

After flowering is the best time to shape and and thicken the plant.

A few inches can be removed on smaller varieties and up to 6 to 10 inches for larger plants.
