Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a beautiful 35 ft crape myrtle in my front yard. My neighbor would like about 15 ft cut from the top so she can have a better view. Is it possible to prune so she can have a better view and my tree is still beautiful? Perhaps we can agree to prune moderately over a number of years so that eventually the tree is only 20 feet tall? Would that be possible? Thank you in advance!

It is best for the health of the tree not to prune the top to have a shorter tree. Plus you would have to continually top it to maintain the height. Here is a good publication on the care and pruning of crape myrtles.

Can you think of any possible way my neighbor and I could have a win-win situation?
