fig propagation

I bought a “bare root” fig tree that didn’t have any roots so I have been trying to treat it like a cutting but it hasn’t done anything. I put it on a heat mat. I put it on the patio so it would get more light. I used Miracle Gro powder root hormones. There’s still green on the bark but it’s been almost 3 months. Should I give up or is there something else that you can suggest?

If it is still alive, I would say that you should just wait. Make sure that it is getting plenty of water in the soil. I have found that this seems to be the most important part of getting fig cuttings to root.
