Propagating Scented Geranium in Water

Hello and thank you for your time. I took a cutting from a scented geranium plant and placed it in water about 2 weeks ago. Now I see 2 root strings (not sure what they are called) growing. I’m not sure how long to keep it in the water and when I can plant it in a pot. Also, I noticed that the leaf on the top has turned black. Is that a problem?

Thank you once again,

Emilia

I would plant it in soil or potting mix as soon as you can and trim off the dead leaf. This article will help
