Propagated Dragon Tree Drooping

I repotted my dragons tree due to the roots coming out the end of the pot. I attempted to propogate it by cutting the top of one stem and use the soil method for the cutting. Both plants appear to be suffering the leaves are dropping rapidly from both plants. Is there any way I can prevent them both from dying?

This will require strict watering practices. The soil needs to remain slightly moist, and be free from fluoride. This will harm the plant, as it is sensitive. This is what I suspect is happening. Here is an article that will help:
