Problem Fig Tree

We have a fig tree that is approx. 10 years old. It has lovely green leaves and looks healthy but the fruits when they should be ripe are inedible because when opened they are pithy with pale green spongy pith and we wonder if there is anything you can suggest that may correct this and help it to bear edible figs.

Unfortunately, there are some species of fig tree that produce fruits that are basically inedible. The fruits are described as green, pithy, and tasteless. The best you can do is to follow the best cultural practices, as described in this article: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/figs/how-to-grow-figs.htm [1]
If you really want fruits you can eat, you may have to plant another kind of fig.
