Privacy trees in planters

I would like to grow trees as tall as possible in pots or planters for privacy in my townhouse back patio (yard) that is completely done with slate rock. Do you have any suggestions.

Evergreen trees often make good privacy screens because of the denser foliage, and many can grow in pots. These articles will give you more ideas:
