A potted Hydrangea needs to be kept moist and water throughly. During warm periods, you may need to water twice a day.

If the flowers are wilted you can even set the pot in a tray of water to make sure the entire root system is getting watered.

Dead heading the spent flowers can be done by cutting the flower off of the plant, down to the next leaf cluster.
