Potted clematis vines

I have 2 clematis vines growing in pots. Question #1. Can I bring them inside for the winter?, or question #2, can I leave them outside in the pots? The area I want to plant them will be having work done and I don’t think I will be able to plant before winter. Also that area faces east. I have a climbing rose, is it a good idea to combine them together? Will one choke the other out?

I would not plant a Clematis with a Rose, the vines can kill the Rose.
