Plant this ornamental grass with autumn flowering perennials like aster, anemone, viburnum, coneflower, black eyed susan and mullein. Also, try to pair with foliage plants that contrast well with the reddish-bronze plumes. Grasses that pair well include feather reed grass and prairie bluestem grass.
