ponytail palm

I have a ponytail palm with a baby on the side. I notice the mother and baby have sunken. Is it dying? Can I do anything to save it. The soil is not wet but does need watering as it is on the dry side.

You can either transplant that pup on the side, or leave it. The soil should remain moist, but not wet, and should dry out slightly in between waterings. Here is an article that will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/houseplants/ponytail-palm/ponytail-palm-care.htm [1]
