Plum Tree Problem

I believe my plum tree has more than one problem at this time. First, I was told that there was a borer of some kind and treated the tree for that problem. The tree was losing large branches and so we treated the tree through the the root system and removed the dead branches. But now the tree has at least two types of fungus growing on the trunk and part way up the branches (one fungus is green and scaly looking and the other looks like mushrooms). We also have a woodpecker that has taken up residency in one part of the trunk that is dead.
What do I need to treat this tree with to help save it? It is flowering and trying hard to produce fruit but we keep losing a branch or two each season and the trunk is splitting.

Multiple issues and disease are attacking your tree and with a steady decline may not be able to be saved.
A healthy plum tree can live productively for 20 to 30 years, but a sick tree may have a much shorter life.
