Planting Photinia

I’m planning to plant some red-tip photinia in my backyard as a privacy screen but don’t know how many plants I need. How many feet should be between each plant?

In general, the space between plants should be one-third to one-half their mature spread. For example, Photinia has a mature spread of about 6 feet, so they should be planted 2 to 3 feet apart to create a hedge for privacy.
