Plant name

Can anyone help me with the name of this plant, please? It needs trimming but I need to now how to do this without harming the plant. Once I have the name of this plant, I can do my research but haven’t a clue where to start. Thanks guys! :-. The pics aren’t great so apologies!

We have not been able to id your plant. Can you give more information? Your growing zone, a close and clear image of the leaf and flower of the plant would also help.
