Is there something that can be done to intensify the color of a pink dogwood?

Usually, you have what you have. You could try top-dressing with some lime, it might help a little. There are many cultivars of pink dogwoods on the market, each cultivar only a touch different from another. The newer patented cultivars are more color stable than those not patented. Pay the price and have the intensity you want. Just remember that photos can be altered, and plants in containers will often bloom differently after being established in the ground.
