Pine Tree Fungus

I have a little pine tree with red sticky strawberry like things hanging from it. They burst when they are touched and spread red sticky stuff on the tree, then they dry up. It seems to be killing the tree.

Your tree may be infested with bagworms, which are found in unsightly looking sacs that hang down from the tree branches. Their feeding on the tree results in this stickiness you are seeing.
