Petunias

This summer all my petunias got white and green bugs on them. I bought a commercial spray to get rid of the bugs and it took the color out/off the petunias. What can I do, as I love petunias in the summer?

We recommend neem oil. We like it as a pesticide because it is safe for humans and pets and is very effective against damaging bugs, but does not hurt helpful bugs like bees and butterflies.
