Persian Violets Care

Hello, I read your article about Persian Violets as I have recently bought one.
What I would like to know, is if the “after blooming stage” is completely necessary for the plants survival, or if it is simply to ensure reblooming?

Yes the plant needs to die back naturally and a rest period.
