Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI would like to plant periwinkle ground cover along the ditch between the road and pasture. Hoping for both beauty and wild grass control. I have it in some garden beds around and like it. I was hoping in early spring I could round-up everything that is there now and then come back and broadcast the seeds by hand over the area. Is this a viable game plan? Thanks for your help!

Periwinkle is a great choice to plant along the road because it doesn’t get very tall, requires little maintenance once it’s established and helps control erosion.
Your plans sounds fine. Make sure you keep the weeds out while your Periwinkle is still young. Once it starts to take off, it will likely choke out everything else.
