Peat moss next to wooden buildings; termite problems?

Peat moss doesn’t contain nutrients in a form termites can use, so they wouldn’t use it as a food source. It’s possible that they (or other critters) could hide between the peat moss and the wood, though, but I don’t have any specific information on that. It’s also possible that mold could be a problem.
