Peat Moss

PLEASE STOP RECOMMENDING PEAT MOSS! Please! Getting peat from bogs releases a huge amount of carbon into our atmosphere. Bogs are also really old and it can take centuries for them to rebuild. Please.

We, also, recommend alternatives. Unfortunately, we cannot be unfair to others that DO prefer this method. In order to be fair to ALL gardeners, we must provide information on all possible methods and materials.
