passion flower

I have 2 potted passion flower plants. I live in upstate N. Y. I would like to keep them in my cellar for the winter. It isn’t heated. It gets pretty cold, but doesn’t freeze. Will this be ok?

Depending on the variety, and whether or not it’s an herbaceous perennial, your plan should work well. If the plants die to the soil in winter, light will not be an issue. If they are evergreen, you will need a well lit location. this article should help: http://gardening.about.com/od/shrubsvines/a/Passion-Flower.htm [1]
