Palmetto Tree Green Healthy Looking Fronds Are Failing

Palmetto tree green healthy looking fronds are failing about a foot from the tree. Otherwise, the fronds look very healthy. I live in southeastern NC, a few miles from the ocean. I do not know the variety of the tree but it is about 5′ tall, plus the fronds. It has very nice new growth developing from the center. The tree almost died three years ago following a severe and lengthy freeze. Since then, and it took almost a year, it has recovered very nicely. The frond issue first started about two months ago with one. Now I have found two more fronds failing. Any advice would be appreciated.

Has irrigation lessened or temperatures increased? They may just need more water. They look healthy and not browning.
