Paddle Plant Succulent

My paddle plant is growing a very thick and tall tree-like stem from the center. It has flowering at the top one foot of growth. What do I do with this growth?

You can let this growth continue until it dies off, naturally. After this, you may cut it off down to where the long stem starts. This article will give you more information about the care of these plants: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/houseplants/kalanchoe/growing-paddle-plants.htm [1]
