Our New (1 Mos In House) Bamboo Plant Is Dying. What Is Wrong?

We have drainage at bottom of pot (repotted when we got it with soil recommended by nursery), it only gets a little direct sunlight, but is in window. It’s about 8 ft tall. Every day a new stem is turning yellow, then goes brown and leaves fall off. Some of the green leaves are curling over, no longer straight. We are following Planta’s advice on watering and fertilizing schedule. We have also added a small humidifier nearby to counteract the heater. We live in Maine. Every day it’s getting worse and I feel so bad. We are really trying but something is wrong. Maybe too close to window? It was very very healthy at the nursery and we see no evidence of any bugs.
