Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comWe have patches of grass dying in our lawn. It is only in two patches. It is well watered so not from lack of water. I have tested for lawn grubs and that does not appear to be the issue

It could be from excess thatch or mowing too short. These articles should help:
