Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comWhat material does a container need to be made from for organic gardening of food so that plastics, chemicals, or toxins don’t leach from the container? I can’t find an “organic container” anywhere. Many articles say to garden in “any” container, but this isn’t true. The container could contaminate the organic vegetables, soil and seeds with unwanted toxins.

There’s really no threat of contamination like this occurring with your plants outside of using treated wooden containers, or even some types of metal. The majority of pots nowadays are quite safe to use on a variety of edible plants. This article should help with choosing one that suits your needs: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/special/containers/choosing-containers-for-potted-environments.htm [1]
