Optimum Amount Of Light To Grow Tomatoes

Given the correct spectrum of light, how much light (optimum amount) would be needed to grow tomatoes in a light controlled greenhouse? Given the best lighting and other conditions, how long would it take to grow from sprout to ripe fruit?

Hello, the length of time to grow a tomato depends on the variety, fertilization, and watering routine. If you are growing the tomatoes from seed, it will tell on the seed packet how long to maturity.

Tomatoes need full sun to grow well and that is 6 to 8 hours a day. These articles should help:
