Peach Tree Hasn’t Grown Leaves

I planted a Peach tree in my backyard in March or April and it has yet to produce any leaves. The plum and apple trees I purchased are doing just fine and look quite lustrous and very green in the same general area. I don’t understand why I have yet to see ANY leaves even though it says the tree should be blooming some time around April. I don’t know if I am not taking care of it correctly or if it is just the tree. I haven’t seen any kind of insect around or on it except for a spider or two.

Some trees, like peaches, may be slow to start if they do not receive an adequate chilling period in winter. As much of the country experienced a fairly mild winter, this could likely be the reason behind your tree’s leafing out issue.
