new orange tree

We planted a dwarf orange tree this spring, we already have several very small oranges. Do we take them off so more energy goes to the tree or just let them get bigger and ripen?

If the tree is less than a year old, or if it is older but is having trouble adjusting to its new site, then yes, it is beneficial to remove flower buds or small fruit that develop. This will help the tree establish itself for a healthier future. Next year you can let the fruit ripen.
