Need the Right Flowers to Plant With Herbs

I want to plant an herb garden off my balcony (I have the hanging balcony boxes) and I wanted to know which ones to pair together. I want to grow parsley, oregano, thyme, basil, cilantro, and chives. What flowers will be a good companion for them? I have three boxes, so essentially two herbs per box on either side with a flower in the middle. Any suggestions as to which of the six herbs should go together in the same box would be beneficial.

There are numerous flowers you can grow with herbs. The best way to decide what you want to grow together is experimentation—just be sure they share the same growing requirements. As for the herbs, the same applies; but oregano works well with cilantro, parsley or basil, while basil works well with nearly anything—including thyme. It’s basically up to you.
