My Tomato Plants Are Not Producing. I Need Help. Thanks

Planted my tomato plants. I live in Washington State (near Spokane) They have been planted for approz. 2 months. They are growing great, producing blossems, feeding them plant food for only tomatoes & vegetables. (8-4-8) I now see 1 tomato and loads of blossems but the blossems turn black and die. What am I doing wrong. I had great success last year doing what I am doing now. We even added new a couple large bags of miricle grow into our garden and planted our tomatoes in a different location in our garden.

MiracleGro has a tendency to prevent proper fruiting and flowering. That could, certainly, be what is causing some of the lack of flowering.

I suspect a few other things, too , though.

I would say that there is too much nitrogen, and not enough phosphorus and potassium, or that the pH has been thrown off. These things can cause a Calcium deficiency, but there could be a true Calcium deficiency.

I would suggest, first, to test your soil's nutrient level and pH. This will give all of the information about the soil nutrient contents, and pH.

ONce you get those results, you can amend as necessary.
